Furlen Claude Irvin, 82 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on September 5, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 27, 1939 in Hays, Kansas to Claude Thomas Irvin and Lillian (Gordon) Irvin. Furlen married Bobbie Irvin on March 10, 1962 in Tacoma, Washington. He was of the Methodist faith. Furlen was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Furlen is survived by his wife, Bobbie Irvin of Gainesville, Texas; daughters, Becky Absher and husband, Russell of Corpus Christie, Lisa Collings of Hurst, Texas, Leslie Kane and husband, Sebastian of Euless, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation arrangement are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.
Whenever I think about Uncle Fuzz, I always remember him with a smile on his face. He was a great man and I will cherish the memories of him.

I worked with Fuzz at Braniff and we went to Minnesota together and were roommates while there.

I worked with fuzz as he was affectionately called by most of his co-workers . He was A good man and friend. After Braniff ceased operation we went to Minnesota and worked for Northwest airline.
He was always up for A good laugh,fun to be around type of guy. We were room mates
while working for Northwest.
