Hazel Lucille Huffhines, 91, of Athens, Texas, formerly of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on February 7, 2021.
Lucille was born on February 1, 1930 in South Rim, N.M. to George Dewey and Nancy D. (Abbott) McCormick. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Lucille was a wonderful seamstress and a great cook.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Emily Ruppanner, Maddox Huffhines. and Abby Huffhines all of Eustace, Texas; great-grandchildren, Annie, Heidi and Lyla Ruppanner of Eustace; sister, Lorraine Thompson of Wichita Falls, niece, Joyce Moser of Henrietta; and nephew, Leon Cox of Whitesboro.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nancy McCormick, husband, Roy Huffhines, sons, Tony and Stan Huffhines.
Graveside services honoring Lucille will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, officiated by Elder Marlin Harp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral home of Whitesboro.
