Sherry Ruth Martindale, 68, of Valley View, TX passed away on November 8th, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. Graveside service will be Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the Valley View Cemetery with Mr. Kenny Cebrum officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville.
Sherry was born on August 23, 1952 to James and Billye Joy in Vernon, TX. She was very active in her church family and community. Sherry loved sewing with her mom and sisters/cousins. She loved being outside in nature and camping with her family in the mountains. She loved spending time at the lake and being with all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Max Martindale; her children Rhonda Martindale of Colorado Springs, Co, Dillon Martindale of Lindsay, TX, Cindy Hinzman and husband Kent of Gainesville, Bucky Martindale and wife Sabrina of Forestburg, Dakota Martindale of Gainesville; grandchildren Mason Covington, Jordan Baptiste, Cheyene Martindale, Andy Covington, Ashley Martindale, Samuel Hinzman, Hunter Martindale and Lucas Hinzman; great-grandchild Kayden Parks; brother James Joy and wife Linda.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Janis Farrell and Kathy Haislip.
In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, social distancing and the wearing of masks while attending the funeral services and visitation will be observed.
