September 30, 1922 –  June 12, 2016  Marian Ruby Bennett, 93, of Gainesville, TX passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Denton Texas Regional Hospital. She was born September 30, 1922 in Creagerstown, Maryland to James Marion and Bessie (Long) Havener. Marian was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith. She loved crocheting, reading, fishing and putting together puzzles.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon Ruth Norton of Gainesville, sons, Marion Lawrence of Walkerville, MD, Mark Lawrence of Ardmore, OK, daughters, Ann Shugart of Gainesville and Bonnie Jeffcoats of Ardmore, OK; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Marian is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Ruth Fisher, Anna Springer and Lillian Coleman.
