December 27, 1943 –  January 22, 2017  Leon “Sonny” Klutts, 73, passed away January 22, 2017 at Denton Regional Hospital. He was born December 27, 1943 in Whitesboro, Texas, to Hollis and Lanona (Tew) Klutts. He married Pamela Stanley, December 22, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army and was very patriotic and spent much of his time at the VFW. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He spent a lifetime in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Klutts of Gainesville; one son, Preston Klutts & wife Ruth Ann of Lake Kiowa; one daughter, Michelle Solis & husband Shane of Plano; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, Harry Klutts of Beaumont, Texas; sister, Doris Miller; two step children, Jason Boyd of Gainesville and Chris Bevel & wife Tiffany of Cape Canaveral.
