August 15, 1921 –  April 16, 2017  Funeral Services for Carmen Odell Renfroe, 95 of Whitesboro, Texas will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.She was born to L.V. (Bun) Phelps, Sr. and Anna Lee (Moran) Phelps on August 15, 1921 in Floydada, Texas. She married James Robert Renfroe on June 23, 1939 in Whitesboro and together they had 12 children. Odell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Legacy Pointe Central Baptist Church of Whitesboro.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Renfroe, Dale Renfroe, Justin Renfroe, Corey Renfroe, Steve Renfro, Tracy Renfroe, Robert Guynes, Billy Guynes, Floyd Guynes, James Guynes and Ricky Cunningham.
She is survived by 4 sons, Tommy Renfroe of Gainesville, Larry Renfro of Daingerfield, Carroll Gene Renfroe of Bandera and Robert Bruce Renfroe of Haskell; daughters, Lawanda Cunningham of Whitesboro and Karen Sue Monteville of Weatherford; brothers, L.V. Phelps of Whitesboro and Stephen Phelps and sisters, Patsy Neasbitt of Sadler, Janie Godsey of Whitesboro and Claudene Morrow of Emory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.V. and Anna Phelps, Sr.; daughters, Peggy Guynes, Dollie Guynes and Brenda Murrell and sons, Donny and Michael Renfroe.
There will be a luncheon for the family following the service at the church.
