June 27, 1927 –  February 9, 2011  Gainesville resident Neva Blevins, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born June 27, 1927 in Denison, Texas to David Carl and Beatrice Mae (Williams) Shipley. Neva married Bill Blevins April 17, 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Blevins are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Eddie Chennault, Pastor of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Survivors of Neva Blevins include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Angie Blevins of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Rodney Hughes of Gainesville and Lisa and Wayne Bierschenk of Valley View; grandchildren, Amy Hamilton and husband Chris, Ty Towery, Connor Bierschenk, Lauren Bierschenk, Cassidy Blevins, Cali Blevins and Hunter Blevins; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Blevins and parents David and Beatrice Shipley.
