September 6, 1933 – April 13, 2011 GORDONVILLE – Funeral services for William Arthur “Bud” Stuckey, 77, will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Interment will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.”Bud” passed away in Denison, Texas on April 13, 2011.
He was born to William Prentice and Bell Marie (Prator) Stuckey on September 6, 1933 in Gordonville, Texas. He married Nellie “Pat” Duncan on May 18, 1957 in Sherman, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He owned the Stuckey’s Feed and Seed in Gordonville for 16 years, selling the business in 1979. He enjoyed working, tending to cattle, and plowing. He also enjoyed trapping wild hogs. He loved going to the Gainesville Sale Barn, never missing a sale. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Stuckey of Gordonville, TX; daughter, Vickie Simmons of Whitesboro, TX; sons: Rickey Redfearn and wife, Susie, of Whitesboro, TX; and Steve Stuckey and wife, Nicky, of Dexter, TX; and daughter, Gayla Westbrook and husband, Dean, of Callisburg, TX; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Stuckey and wife, Janell, of Whitesboro, TX; and sister, Mary Briley of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Stuckey; and seventeen brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers are: Donnie Ferguson, Wesley Martin, Jimmy Lindsey, Doug Chambers, Grady Chambers, Ray Lynn Stuckey, Ronnie Stuckey and Gary Stuckey.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Dave McCorkle, Frankie Denton, Don Underwood, Ronnie Chambers Sr., and Roy Hockett.
