Funeral services for Jean Carol Harman, 83, of San Angelo, Texas will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation for friends and family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the funeral home.Jean passed away from this life on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in San Angelo, Texas.
She was born on December 14, 1934 in Collinsville, Texas to Sam and Icie (Vigus) Midkiff. She married James Harman on July 30, 1955 and together they built and raised a family. She loved taking care of her home and being able to show her love for her family through her cooking and baking. She was a loving caregiver for her son Jeff, and after his accident she encouraged him to become a collector of sports memorabilia. Together they built an amazing collection. She enjoyed spending time in Collinsville with her brothers and sisters. She loved all kinds of music and had a tremendous and unconditional love for her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her son, Jim Harman and wife, Nancy of Lubbock, daughter, Cathy Roach and husband, Larry of San Angelo. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Missy Harman Benedict and husband, Drew of Oklahoma City, great-grandson, Christopher Henry of San Angelo, sister Glenda Cagle and husband Neal of Arlington as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Icie Midkiff, husband, James Harman, son, Jeff Harman, grandson, Stephen Henry, sisters, Louise King, JoAnn McNairn, Sammie Isaacs, Ruby Midkiff, and brothers, Robert Midkiff, and Bill Midkiff.
Pallbearers will be Keith King, Terry Midkiff, Monte Isaacs, Lee Midkiff, Frankie Jurecka and Christopher Henry.
