July 26, 1951 – February 15, 2014 Funeral services for Sandy Watson, 62, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Oklahoma. Family visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Sandy passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
Sandra Kay LeBlue was born to Robert Davis and Grace Evelyn in Dallas, Texas on July 26, 1951. She was adopted by Ben and Truth Shipman, then becoming Joyce Sandra Shipman. She graduated from Stark High School in Orange, Texas.
Sandy married Rudy Lee Watson on January 2, 1987 in Gainesville, Texas. She worked for Silver Creek Oil Company. Her hobbies included her grandkids and great grandkids. Sandy’s tendency was to put others before herself, and she was truly loved by all of her family. Sandy was famous for her Christmas Dinner desserts.
Survivors include her husband, Rudy L. Watson; four daughters, Jennifer Gayle Fletcher of Ft. Worth, Amber Burke and husband, Jimmy of Sanger, Shandy Clark and husband, J.D. of Saint Jo, and Rudene Horner of Saint Jo; three sisters, Hope Colson and husband, John of Houston, Faith Allen and husband, Kevin of Houston, and Bobbie Garcia of Silsbee; a brother, Robert Reynolds and wife, Valerie of Silsbee; grandchildren, Brittany Shaw, Holden Shaw, Brooklyn Shaw, Shelton Burke, Jeffrey Horner and wife, Monica, Jay Clark and wife, Rebecca, Shae Horner, Shaden Clark and wife, Kate and TayCee Clark; great-grandchildren, Joshua Koelzer, Skylar Horner, Christopher Grooms and Easton Horner; biological mother, Grace Burrell; and sisters and brothers -in-laws, Frances and Hubert Perry and Donna and Jack Hill.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, Robert Davis; adoptive parents, Ben and Truth Shipman; and father, Jack Burrell.
