Kenneth “Ott” Kuykendall, 93 of Valley View, Texas went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 5, 2024. Ott was born November 10, 1931 to Jessie and Betty (Bates) Kuykendall in Forestburg, Texas. He married the love of his life, June Poynor on January 30, 1959. Ott retired from National Supply and spent the rest of his life farming and on his tractor. After the loss of his wife, June he enjoyed spending most of his days at “the office” aka The Stanford House to play dominos and go dancing. His grandkids were the light of his life. Ott was also a member of the Gainesville Riding Club and Cooke County Youth Fair.
Ott is survived by his family, Kenny Kuykendall & wife, Laure; Rickey Kuykendall & Jeffrey Kuykendall; grandkids, Kasey Kuykendall; Kimberly Cain; Kelli Kuykendall; Kevin Kuykendall; Kolby Kuykendall; Kaylee Kuykendall; Kamree Nieuwenhuis; Kenadee Kuykendall; Kaleb Kuykendall and Kayden Kuykendall; 14 great-grandkids, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and many friends.
Preceded in death by wife, June; sisters, Wilma Mosley and Immogene “Tommie” Hargrove; brothers, Gary, Howard & Gervis “Bodge”; brothers and sister in laws, Travis and Sue Sutton, Ross & Brenda Sutton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 10:00 am also at Meador Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg, Texas.

Condolences to family
The best Aunt and Uncle I ever had Ott and June were with my family on horses and working at least once a week we made Homemade Icecream every Saturday if possible and Ott could eat more than any of us.Ott provided the 1st paying job I ever had hauling hay and working with him.Rodeo horses and work was our life.I loved Ott and Junebug like my Mother and Dad and will forever be gratefull for what they meant to me.
