Jimmie Conn Hobbs, age 83, passed away on August 4, 2024, in Valley View, Texas. Born on January 19, 1941, in Lois, Texas, Jimmie was known for his vibrant and creative spirit, living a life marked by his loud, outgoing, and loving personality.
Jimmie leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship, survived by his wife, Brenda Hobbs; his sister, Patti and Mike Wilson; his daughter, Kim and Robert Kelley; and his sons, Lacy and Tracy Lane, and Kevin and Marilyn Lane. He was a cherished grandfather to Christian Kelley, Mandy and Derek Nunley, Jesse and Abby Kelley, Natasha Lane, Ethan Lane, Taylor Lane, Joshua Lane, Stefani Adams, Kelsey Walker & Vallory. His great-grandchildren, Addie, Andy, Bren, Rose, Alistair, Makena, Emma, Bailey, Elliot, Bennet, Wyatt, and Grayson, will also hold dear their memories of him. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Leta Hobbs; his son, Jesse Hobbs; and his brother, Dwain Hobbs.
A service to celebrate Jimmie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas. The family invites all who knew and loved Jimmie to join them in honoring his vibrant life and enduring spirit.
