Joyce Alma Hopkins, 99, of Collinsville, Texas, formerly of Lubbock, Texas, was called to her eternal home on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Joyce was born on February 24, 1925 in Wisbech, England to Timothy and Ellen (Garten) Reed. She married James David Hopkins at Walsken Church in England in 1958.  She enjoyed embroidery, art, drawing, bird watching and flower gardening.  Football was one of her favorite things to watch and she was a huge fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders team and the Kansas City Chiefs.  She loved caring for her family and cherished her time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Hopkins, parents, Timothy and Ellen Reed, brother, Vince Reed, and sister, Edna Wadlow.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jenny Goodman and husband, Jeff; niece, Christine Wadlow, nephew, Peter Wadlow and bonus daughter, Michelle Davidson.

Graveside services honoring Joyce will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
