In Memory of Barbara A. Hennesy August 23, 1949 – April 5, 2024
Barbara Ann Hennesy, 74, peacefully passed away on April 5, 2024. She was the true love of the late Leemon Wilson. They shared 22 years of love together before he was called home to be with the Lord.
Born in Valley View, Texas, she was the daughter of Willie Hennesy, Sr. and Lela Mae Hennesy. She graduated from Gainesville High School. She had a long career in civil service retiring from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, OK.
She attended Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Barbara enjoyed her daily Wheel of Fortune and a host of crime dramas. She will be remembered for the love of her family and friends.
She is survived by son, Xavier Wilson (Stacey) of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, Bishop William L. Hennesy, Sr. (Sharon) of Houston, TX, Larry D. Hennesy (Dolores) and Philip Hennesy of Gainesville, TX; sister, Ruth Garrison of Gainesville, TX; grandchild, Julia deAlminana of Oklahoma City, OK.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her true love, and brothers Willie Hennesy, Sr. and Jim L. Hennesy.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and coworker to all of us and we will miss her very much.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas. Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 also at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas officiated by Rev. Frank Lorne. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
