October 26, 1938 – August 2, 2014 SADLER – Sadler native, Hampton Ray Fowler, passed over on Saturday, August 2, 2014, in Plano, Texas. Born on October 26, 1938, Ray is survived by son, Royce Ray Fowler, of Denton; daughter, Michele W. Smith of Plano; grandsons: Conner and Davis Smith of Plano; daughter Amanda Carman and husband, Dan, of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughter, Addison Elizabeth Carman of Phoenix; sister, Alice Faye Melton of Sadler; brother-in-law, James Hightower; sister-in-law, Jan Fowler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eula and Hampton Fowler; siblings: Sylvia Hightower, Gladys Dutton, and Kenneth W. Fowler, all of Sadler.A memorial service will be held in Sadler’s United Methodist Church, of which he was a member, on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. Family visitation will be held after the memorial service, August 9, at 1:00 p.m., at the Sadler Community Center. Service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.
