In Gordonville TX on the morning of November 30th, Graham K. Jones, husband, father, sailor, engineer, passed from an ‘is’ to a ‘was’ at age 79. Throughout a year of declining health, his optimism never wavered and he fought tenaciously with each challenge. He was able to go peacefully surrounded by family; his struggles done.
He is survived by his wife, Laura, and three children (and spouses): Kym (Abel), Beth (Pat) and Tristan (Sarah). Each of whom will hold him in their hearts remembering his love, laughter, wisdom and wit. As well, his presence will be cherished by his three grandchildren: Connor, Rogan and Justine.
Graham’s childhood was spent in Portage, IN on the banks of Lake Michigan. His passions were amongst the waves: fly-fishing in rivers and lakes, transmitting via amateur radio and sailing upon the waters. His contributions to the world will be sorely missed.

Graham was a wonderful friend in Portage High School . We spent many hours and summer days on his 12 foot boat cruising the shores of Lake Michigan . I drove past the inlet near his home the other day and thought about those memories. He will be truly missed. Sincerely, Dave Perry
Dear Family,Graham and I were classmates at Portage. He always had time to talk with you,no matter your social status.May you each find comfort in memories which no one can ever take away.RIP
Mr. Graham, you were special. You were caring and loving. You left beautiful memories that will be cherished – Job 14:14 & 15
When I started at Motorola in July of 1972, I was a mere “pup” in the communications world. I worked for them and with them for more than 35 years. I fondly remember Graham when business required me to go to Dallas to the Area D office. He was one of my trainers when I did my RCR training. He was quite a witty presenter… Always making us laugh and “think”. And, “understand” system configuration and design. May God Bless him and all of you, his family!
