Phyllis Jean Sarchett, 86, of Gordonville, Texas was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Phyllis was born on August 18, 1937 in Clay County, Texas to Everett and Lillian (Neasbitt) Robbins.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gordonville.  Phyllis retired from Walmart after 25 years of service.  She enjoyed painting, crafts and playing the slot machines at the casinos.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Hawkins of Gordonville; sister, Lyndal Moreno of San Antonio; granddaughters, Brandy Stilley, Kimberly Vernon, and Vesta Conner, sister-in-law, Bonnie Robbins and son-in-law, Terry Metcalf, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, John Sarchett, husband, Ed Shinn, parents, Everett and Lillian Robbins, son, Glenn Shinn, daughter, Connie Metcalf, brother, Sonny Robbins and her grandparents.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
