I thought very much of Carla. She was a sweet lady and friend. She has battled a journey for several years and now she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Prayers for Mike and her family. With heartfelt sympathy, Janice Phelps and family.

Carla, Judy, Karen and I met in 2016 in Jefferson. We were all at the estate sale of a home my husband and I were purchasing. The 3 “Christmas Girls”, as they are known here in Jefferson, had stayed at the home for 25 years when it was a Bed and Breakfast owned by their friend Merlene Meek.
I’ve seen them every Christmas since then and love them all. Prayers of comfort and peace for the Case family and special friends Judy and Karen.

So sorry for your loss, Carla was a sweet soft spoken lady. Prayers for Mike & all the family.
I am SO SORRY to hear of Linda’s passing. What a sweet, kind and funny soul she was. I enjoyed many years of her coming into City Hall to pay her utility bill and would run into her quite often at the post office. I recall one time several years ago we got to talking about stoves and I was telling her I was looking for an OKeefe stove and she said she had one. I asked her if it would be okay if I came over so I could gaze at it and naturally she said SURE!. I did and fell in love with it. The only problem was that it was too big for my space. Dang… She was so gracious and showed me such kindness by inviting me into her beautiful home. I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you navigate your days without her. May God grant you peace in knowing she is now in the arms of her Savior. Until you meet up yonder, peace be with you.
Mike and family, I was so sorry to hear of Carla’s passing. She was such a sweet and kind person, and I am honored to have been her friend in The Chicks of 66. She will be missed by many.
Mike,
I got to know Carla over fifty years ago when Aletha Bryan and Mrs. Combs decided we needed another club for the women in town. Thus, the Contemporary Women’s Club was hatched. Carla was always the first one to volunteer for the hardest job and never a complaint or grumble passed her lips. She was a treasure and I know you and your family are devastated by her passing, but she left so many memories for you to recall. Thanks for sharing her all those years ago. Becky Brooks
I didn’t see her much, but when I did she always had a hug! Then we would talk a bit. I will miss her, I know everybody will. A wonderful lady. Keep your memories in your heart! Lol to all of you!

Such a caring, sweet, precious person, Carla is an example for all of us of a true Christian lady: generous, hard-working, and so mindful of the needs of others. Prayers for Mike, the family, and all of her friends …

What an honor to know and care for Carla. She was such an honest and beautiful lady. When she told me her age, I had to ask again…she looked so much younger than her stated age. She laughed and thanked me. Always had a smile. I will miss her. Prayers to Mike and family❤️
