Memorial services for Lindell Loy Carney, 78, of Whitesboro, are scheduled for 3:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Chaplain George Wade. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lindell passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 15, 1940 in Southmayd, Texas to Amos Loy and Belma Mary (McKnight) Carney. He served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Frank’s Body Shop as a tow truck driver for many years. Lindell loved the rodeo, drinking coffee and spending time with his friends.
Lindell is survived by his daughter, LaNelle King and husband, David, daughter, Carol Horton and husband, Paul, grandchildren, Brandy Titus and husband, Charlie, Brittany Butts and husband, Alex, Kristina King, Jennifer Ramey and husband, Anthony, David King and wife, Amanda, great-grandchildren, Parker King and Max King as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Belma Carney, sister, Wretha Mae Kosark, and sister, Izella Eggleston.
