Cynthia Lorene Porter, 57 of Valley View, Texas passed away at her home on October 11, 2022. She was born on June 23, 1965, in Chula Vista, California to Wayne Lowry Penton, Sr. and Shirley Marie (Lovell) Penton. Cynthia attended Gainesville High School and was of the Mormon faith. She married the love of her life, Kary Porter on February 14, 1992, in Gainesville, Texas. She is the beloved mother to four children: Cooter, Tabby, Michael and Robby. She was a cook by trade and worked harder than anyone knew to provide for her family. She was a very strong woman who never gave up. She loved big family meals and cook outs and especially loved being with her grandbabies.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Kary Porter of Valley View, Texas; children, Lowry “Cooter” Penton and wife, Josie of Valley View, Texas, Tabby Penton Eubanks and husband JD of Ringling, Oklahoma, Michael Robinson of Grayson County and Robby Robinson and wife, Mandy of Lindsay, Texas. Grandchildren: Tim and Krysta; Trinity, Dixie, Jacob and Bugg; Michael III, Mickayla and Brettalyn. Great-grandson Osiris; sisters, Sharon, Patty, Debbie, Nancy and Elizabeth and husband, Barry.
Preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Shirley Penton; brothers, Wayne Jr., Dewayne Stevens and Jimmy Cordes.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville. At this time no services are scheduled.
