Yolanda Ester Chavez, 62, of Whitesboro, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Yolanda was born on May 8,1962 in Mexico to Jose Placido and Josefina (Zapata) Chavez. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Church in Whitesboro. Yolanda was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed nothing in life more than being with her family.
She is survived by her son, Alfredo Chavez and wife, Jessica of Whitesboro; daughter, Minerva Ruiz of Whitesboro; daughter, Yvett Barrios and husband, Ramon of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Esmeralda Sanchez, Jesus Barrios, Alexis Barrios, Daniel Chavez, Nico Sanchez, Allen Barrios, Isabel Sanchez, Josilyn Barrios, and Alfredo Chavez, siblings, Jose Chavez, Omero Chavez, Mario Chavez, Ruben Chavez, Micaela Terrazas, Rene Chavez, Pedro Chavez, Lorenzo Chavez, Gloria Calderon, Jose Placido Chavez, Leticia Chavez, Omer Chavez and Rosendo Chavez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Josefina Chavez and godmother, Rafaela Chavez.
Funeral services honoring Yolanda will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
