October 20, 1922 –  August 27, 2011  SHERMAN â?? Graveside services for Ruth Norris, 88, will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas with Rev. Preston Harrison and Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Family visitation will be Sunday, August 28, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.She passed away on August 27, 2011 in Denison, Texas.
Wynona Ruth Norris was born October 20, 1922 to William Carlton and Martha (Duncan) James. She married Pete Norris in 1956. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prosper, Texas. She retired from Texas Instruments after 26 years of service. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Willows in Sherman for taking care of Ruth for 6 years and the staff at Beacon Hill in Denison for making her final days comfortable.
She is survived by her son, Billy Norris and wife, Mona, of Sealy, TX; daughter, Kathy Bledsoe, and husband, Joe, of Collinsville, TX; grandchildren: Brad, Amy and Brooks Norris; sister, Doris Watts, and husband, Billy, of Dallas; TX; brother, Kenneth James, of McKinney, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Jones; husband, Pete Norris; brother and sister-in-law, Buss and Margaret Whitsell, and sister-in-law, Emma James.
