Winfred Laverne Calhoun, 87, of Valley View, Texas passed away April 2, 2021. She was born in Gainesville, Texas on June 15, 1933 to Clem Turner and Leta Belle (Moss) Turner in Gainesville, Texas.
Winfred married Billy Mac Calhoun on November 8, 1952 in Gainesvlle, Texas. She was employed as Cooke County District Clerk for over 20 years. She loved to fish, cook and loved going to the casino.
She is survived by her son, Billy Calhoun, Jr. of Valley View; daughters, Brenda Noggler of Valley View and Becky Taylor and husband, Manley of Gainesville; Sisters, Billie Jean Knight of Gainesville, Linda Van Bebber of Frisco; sister in laws, Barbara Turner of Grandbury and Evelyn Calhoun of Rockwall. Eight grandchildren: Holly Fahrlander, Courtney-Mike Simmons, Kylee Clark, Amber Schad-Corry, Meghan Taylor, Katlin Taylor, Anna Beth Brust, Colby Calhoun-Nichole. 22 great grandchildren (1 preceded in death), 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Valley View Cemetery.
