May 23, 1945 –  February 14, 2014  Gainesville resident Wilmer Louise Manuel Jackson, 68, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital. She was born to Horace and L.E. (Price) Manuel May 23 1945 in Gainesville, Texas. Louise worked in direct care at the Denton State School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.Funeral Services for Mrs. Jackson will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22nd at St. James Methodist Church with Dr. Rev. Sheldon Ballat officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Survivors include four sons, Vincent Manuel of Grand Prairie, Victor Manuel of Gainesville, Rodney Jackson of Gainesville and Brian Jackson of Gainesville; five daughters, Vickie Manuel of Gainesville, Valorie Manuel of Gainesville, Wendy Jackson of Lewisville, Christie Jackson of Gainesville and Robbye Jackson of Gainesville; six brothers, Horace Manuel of Gainesville, Wallace Manuel of Grand Prairie, Herman Manuel of Hickory Creek, Homer Manuel of Gainesville, Donald Manuel of Gainesville and Claude Manuel of Gainesville; five sisters, Bobbie Ligon of San Antonio, Carolyn Jackson of Gainesville, Rebecca Thomas of Gainesville, Sheri Franklin of Gainesville and Lesa Moore of Gainesville; 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald and James Manuel; sister, Jean Allen and grandchild, Kevrick Jackson Hubbard.
