Willie Edith McElreath, 87, of Whitesboro, Texas, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Edith was born on November 20, 1938 in Collinsville, Texas to Willie Thomas and Lillian Edith (Reed) Howard. On June 1, 1997she married Noble Lee McElreath in Gordonville, Texas. Edith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, a member of the American Paint Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and Women’s Ministry United. She served as the CEO of Data Matique, Inc and she was the owner of Pockrus Ranch. She was a dear and loving woman who loved the Lord and her family tremendously.
She is survived by her husband, Noble McElreath of Whitesboro, brother, Charles Howard, nieces, Jennifer Bream and Stacy Howard, grandsons, Jason Pockrus, and Joshua Pockrus, granddaughter, Natalie Guynes, great-grandchildren, Kaleb Guynes, Zane Lemons, Manden Lemons, Kara Pockrus, Rebecca Pockrus, Angel Pockrus, Tabitha Pockrus, and Ash Pockrus.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, W.T. and Lillian Howard, her sons, David Pockrus Jr. and Roger Pockrus, her grandson, Justin Pockrus, and her brother, Robert Don Howard.
A memorial service honoring Edith will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Aaron Meraz, and Rev. Mike Flanagan. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

Edith was a caring mother and efficient business executive. She ran several successful enterprises at the same time. Edith and David Pockrus worked hard and achieved everything through their own efforts. May eternal rest be upon her.
