April 12, 1925 –  July 26, 2015  Willie Catherine Ohlson, 90, passed away at her home on Sunday July 26, 2015. She was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation and attended high school at Chilacco Indian School. Mrs. Ohlson resided in Colton, California, for 17 years but the rest of her time was in spent in the Gainesville, Texas, area where she was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Ohlson was born in Thackerville, Oklahoma, to Roy and Rachel Brown Reynolds. She had 4 daughters, 2 sons, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ohlson was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Ohlson, sister Oleata McAfee, brother Walter Reynolds, son Richard Beck, and her dear friend Bazel Bond. She is survived by her son James Green of Gainesville, Texas; daughters Sharon Hickerson of Sacramento, California; Sue and her husband Ira Little of Corinth, Texas; Beverly Guttridge of Whitesboro, Texas; Bonnie and her husband Joe of Kearny, Arizona; and her sister Zona Mae and her husband Dale Thurman of Gainesville, Texas.
Services will be 10:00am, Friday, July 31, 2015, at Meador Funeral Home (1204 East California Street, Gainesville, Texas). Join the family for remembrances and viewing on Thursday evening at Meador Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
