June 12, 1931 –  June 14, 2014  William R. Thompson, 83, passed away June 14, 2014 at his residence in Gainesville. He was born June12, 1931 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Paul R. and Amy (Smith) Thompson. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a trouble shooter for General Motors.A memorial visitation will be held at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, June 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Thompson is survived by a son, Brad Thompson and wife, Roni of Sanger; daughter, Paula Thompson-Ramirez and husband, Larry of Carrollton; brother, James Thompson of Savannah, Georgia and six grandchildren.
