October 26, 1924 –  October 20, 2014  Funeral Services for William Loyd McNairn, 89, of Collinsville, Texas will be held Friday, October 24, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Stapleton officiating and Mark Petty giving a scripture and prayer. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Meador Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He passed away October 20, 2014 at The Homestead in Collinsville.He was born to Alfred Horton McNairn and Nama Ann (Woods) McNairn October 26, 1924 in Violet Hill, Arkansas. He married Joan Midkiff in 1948 in Sherman, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Normandy Invasion.
He is survived by his daughter, Nena McNairn Borah and husband, Ken of Arlington; son, Kerry McNairn and wife, Peggi of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Pam Plechus of Ft. Worth; brother, Harold McNairn and wife, Nell of Gainesville; sister, Lois Petty and husband, Jeral of Sadler; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as, many nieces and nephews—special nieces Linda Jurecka and husband, Frankie and Sandra Williams and husband, Donald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.H. & Nama McNairn, wife, Joan Midkiff McNairn and son, Jackie Paul McNairn and granddaughter, Erin Joanne Borah.
Pallbearers will be Kendal Petty, Frankie Jurecka, Donald Williams, Bill Midkiff, Terry Midkiff, Bobby King, Ricky McNairn, Brett McNairn, Kenneth King and Keith King.
