December 26, 1913 –  November 10, 2006  Funeral services for William David Hedges, 92, will be at 2:00 P.M Monday, November 13, 2006 at the North Hills Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Reverend Jimmy Hedges and Reverend Thomas Beall officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hedges passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 at his home in Whitesboro.

David was born December 26, 1913, in Gainesville, Texas to Earnest L. Hedges and Mary (Greene) Hedges. He married Margaret Cumbus on September 9, 1934 in Macomb Community.

David was a Christian and a member of North Hills Baptist Church. He had received a plaque for being the oldest living member there. He was a farmer and loved the land.

He is survived by two sisters, Helen Livermore and husband Glen of Espanola, New Mexico and Jo Ann Cantrell of Ft. Worth, Texas. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend and caregiver Treva Knight of Whitesboro.

His wife Margaret, daughter Betty Hedges , parents, two brothers, Nathan Hedges and R.R. (Chick) Hedges preceded him in death.
