May 13, 1919 –  June 25, 2012  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral services for William â??Billâ? Roe, 93, will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Ken Hilderbrand officiating. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, at the funeral home. He passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 in Gainesville, Texas.
William â??Billâ? Franklin Roe was born on May 13, 1919 to John W. and Pearly Jane (Wilson) Roe in Bagwell, Texas. He married Ella Frances Davidson on November 20, 1943 in Marysville, Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, Texas. He was retired from Burlington Industries.
He is survived by his daughters: Ann Dunnam and husband, Bill, of Whitesboro, TX; and Reba Dela Rosa and husband, Carlos, of Callisburg,TX; grandchildren: Vickie Watson and husband, Donnie; Mason Day and wife, Michelle; Anthony Day and wife, Faith; Kevin Day and wife, Lannette; one great-grandson; four great-granddaughters; one great great-grandson; four step great-grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Martin of Eureka Spring, AR; and brother, Roy Roe and wife, Regina, of Kemp, TX; sisters-in-laws: Amma Belle Snow, Alice Davidson, and Margaret Roe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Roe; his parents, John and Pearly Roe; sisters: Sudie Lee Roe, Oleta Stewart, Johnnie Tucker, and Patsy Roe; and one brother, Nelson Roe.
Pallbearers will be Mark Pike, John Yeargan, Jerry Johnson, Tommy Felderhoff, Mike Davidson, Scottie Moody, Bill Bullock and Dusty Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
