April 3, 1937 –  April 3, 2013  Funeral Service for loving husband, father and grandfather, William “Bill” Carter, Jr. will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 5th at Vilott Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Isham, church pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Nelson Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Carter passed away April 3, 2013 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center. He was born April 3, 1937 in Dallas, Texas. Bill married Nancy R. Eaton December 14, 1962 in Frisco, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bill was an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for many years. He had also worked for Lowes in Denton for years. He raised pigs, and enjoyed working outside and researching things, especially RVs. Bill loved his dog Pepper.

William Carter, Jr. is survived by his wife of fifty years, Nancy Carter of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Gena and Terry Jackson of Bedford; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Renee Carter of Gainesville; grandchildren, Morgan Damm and husband, Brent of Bedford, Emily Thomas of Greenville, Cass Carter of Gainesville and Cooper Carter of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lisa Carter of Montrose, Colorado; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Lucille and William Eugene Carter, Sr.
