May 18, 1935 –  October 11, 2009  DENISON รข?? Funeral services for William B. Crossland, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at the funeral home.
William passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

He was born on May 18, 1935 in Moro, Arkansas to Ernest George and Mamie (Waymack) Crossland. William served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. During his tour, he fought at Pork Chop Hill, where he was wounded and later discharged for medical reasons. He worked as a truck driver, farmer, in construction and as a small engine repairman. He also worked as a sparring partner/trainer for Fritz Von Erich and the Von Erich family. William enjoyed working in his garden and dearly loved his family.

Survivors include a son, William Crossland of Boyd; 4 daughters, Kathryn Crossland of Gainesville, Connie Hill of Denison, Carol Johnson of Aubrey and Tracie Glass of Saginaw; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mamie Crossland and 8 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers are Larry Glass, Teddy Johnson, Jack Hill, Jason Hill, Chris Crossland and David Webb.
