September 14, 1947 –  March 18, 2006  WHITESBORO â?? Memorial services for William Alvin â??Sonnyâ? King will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Bob Rutherford and Kenny King officiating.
Mr. King passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, TX.

Sonny was born September 14, 1947 in Rotan, Texas to Alvin and Katherine (Wallace) King. He married Jacquelyn Peterson in Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from Moriarty New Mexico High School and later served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Sonny has worked as a brakeman on the railroad; he loved the ocean and sailing and worked on a yacht out of Venezuela. He worked off shore in the oil field in the Gulf. Sonny was very close to his grandparents Clara & Delmer Miller, and he loved his Rottweiler â??Konigâ?, and enjoyed riding his Harley.

The Family would like to thank Baylor Hospital Organ Donor Department for giving Sonny two extra years of life.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Jacky King of Whitesboro; three sons, Michael King of Whitesboro, Scott King of Albuquerque, NM and Kenny King of Greenville, SC; father, Alvin King of Whitesboro; a brother, Ray King of Whitesboro; and 5 grandchildren, Philip, Paul, Caleb, Evelyne and Crystal; aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Don King of Stanley, NM and uncle, Al Miller of Whitesboro.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla King, his mother, Katherine King; and grandparents, Clara and Delmer Miller.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Sonny King Benefit Ranch Rodeo which will be held April 22 â?? 23 at the Don Ham Quarter Horse Ranch in Sadler or to the Collinsville Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 536, Collinsville, TX 76233.
