April 17, 1924 – January 7, 2006 SADLER รข?? Funeral services for Weowna (Eldredge) Kirby age 81, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Nourse officiating. Interment will follow in Sadler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2006 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kirby passed Saturday, January 7, 2006 at her home in Sadler.
Weowna was born April 17, 1924 to James O. and Connie Cloree (Bowman) Eldredge in Sadler, Texas. She married Edgar Lee Kirby in 1943 in Denison, Texas. She was a Sadler High School graduate and later worked and retired from GTE. Weowna was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two sons; Jack Kirby and wife Juanita of Whitesboro, DeWayne Kirby and wife Geri of Sadler; a daughter, Lee Ann Laughlin and husband Al of Tyler; 3 brothers, Jerry Eldredge and wife Madge of Rockwall, Jim Eldredge and wife Pat of Sadler and Joe Eldredge and wife Kay of Gainesville; a sister, Gearldine Ford of Sadler; 5 Grandchildren; Angie Kirby of Whitesboro, Jacky Kirby of Marble Falls, Dee Ann Melugin of Gunter, Shay Laughlin of Tyler and Joel Laughlin of Whitesboro; and 5 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Kirby; 2 sisters, Laverne Burton and Billie Allison.
Pallbearers are: Jacky Kirby, Joel Eldredge, Randy Ford, Joel Laughlin, Joe Melugin and Jerry Glen Eldredge.
