Weldon Holland,90, of Gainesville passed away on March 4th, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. A celebration of life will be held Monday, March 8th, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Valley View with Bro. Glen Kersey and Bro. Frank Lorne officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. There will be a formal visitation from 1:00 PM until service time Monday at the church. Weldon will be in state at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM and on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Weldon Holland was born on April 14th, 1930 to John and Nina Holland.  He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Midwestern University and went on to graduate from North Texas State University with a Master of Science degree. Weldon taught at Muenster ISD for 8 years and then taught for 27 years at Gainesville Junior High School, teaching Math and Science. He was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association (Lifetime member), Texas Retired Teachers and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. For over 40 years Weldon was a pecan grafter in the North Texas area. Weldon loved to garden and to raise cattle on the farm. He loved to fish, hunt and to be outdoors. He loved to watch the Cowboys play and watch horse racing.  He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Toni Holland of Gainesville; son Tony Holland and his wife Janice; son Monty Holland and wife Lynn; stepdaughter Summer Olweiler and husband Nathan; stepson William Anderson; stepson Eric Anderson and wife Mary Ann; brothers Kenneth Holland and James Holland; sister Imogene Brewer; Father in Law, Mugg Pawless, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Weldon is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lucille Hogan, Nina Henderson, Ileen Cunningham, Ola Fae Jones and Anna Bell Clement, mother in law, Hattie Pawless
