September 12, 1945 –  January 15, 2011  COLLINSVILLE – Graveside Services for Weldon Cravens, 65, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at the Dixie Cemetery with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at the funeral home.Weldon passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at his home in Collinsville.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1945 in Whitesboro to Lonnie and Bessie Cravens. he married Kay Kelly on May 28, 1965 in Gainesville. He was a long time mechanic, owning Cravens Auto Shop in Collinsville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Cravens of Collinsville; a son, Derek Cravens and wife, Diann of Whitesboro; 3 daughters, Dedra Turner of Collinsville, Diane Willeford and husband, Josh of Sherman, Dena Cravens and husband, J.T. Aaron of Collinsville; 8 grandchildren, Russ Turner, Wyatt Willeford, Lucas Willeford, Paisley Kay Aaron, Derek Spindle, David Spindle, Ashley Howard, Bailey Howard; his mother, Bessie Cravens of Whitesboro; 2 sisters, Joyce Simmons of Whitesboro, and Lonnette Davidson of Collinsville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Cravens; a sister, Alice Smith; and a granddaughter, Ashli Spindle.
