March 28, 1954 –  October 30, 2010  COLLINSVILLE- Funeral Services for Wanda Thomas, 56, will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2010 at the funeral home.
Wanda passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Sherman.

Wanda was born on March 28, 1954 in Dallas to Ralph and Arleen (Starling) Maglaughlin. She married Randy Thomas on January 15, 1993 in Collinsville. She graduated from Collinsville High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from North Texas State University. Wanda taught and coached P.E. at S & S ISD for 27 years. She was a member of Texas Retired Teacher Association and First Baptist Church in Collinsville.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Thomas of Collinsville; a daughter, Amanda Tyler and husband, Daniel of Collinsville; granddaughter, Taylor Clark of Collinsville; parents, Ralph and Arleen Maglaughlin of Collinsville; 2 sisters, Debbie Elliott and husband, Randy of Sadler and Sandra Mize and husband, Gary of Garland.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Roland Brookshear in 1990.

Pallbearers are; Terry Martin, Terry Davis, Cliff Reed, Mark Byrom, Jason McMillan and Randy Elliott.
