November 16, 1937 –  October 15, 2011  WHITESBORO – Funeral Services for Virginia Heath, 73, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.Virginia passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1937 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Charles Daniel Hurst and Edna Belle (Roberts) Hurst. She married John Royce Heath on Feb. 17, 1956 in Carrollton. She was a retired purchasing agent for Fisher Controls and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro.
Survivors include her husband, Royce Heath of Whitesboro; a son, John Heath and wife, Shirley of Sadler; a daughter, Gina Miller and husband, Butch of Montgomery; 8 grandchildren, Jill Ferrell, Heather Flanagan, Carrie Manuel, John Heath, Brittany Heath, Andy Miller, Luke Miller and Rachel Miller; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Dwayne Heath; parents, Charles and Edna Hurst; 2 brothers, Gene Hurst and Ray Hurst.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dixon, J.J. Heath, Lenny Hurst, Merle McKay, Butch Miller and Larry Squires. Honorary Pallbearer will be Hal Byrd.
