February 21, 1930 –  September 18, 2010  GORDONVILLE – Funeral Services for Virgil Lee Auld, Jr., 80, will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Madill, OK at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Dennis and Rev. Jimmy Auld officiating. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX. Family visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home.Virgil passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010.
He was born to Virgil, Sr. and Pearl (McLain) Auld on February 21, 1921 in Healdton, OK. He married Nelda Crawford on September 9, 1951 in Snyder, TX. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Madill, OK. He was also a member of the AARP and the EAA . He was a machinist by trade. His hobby was participating in civil war reenactments.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Auld of Sherwood Shores, TX; daughter, Lynda Leuty and husband, Jerry, of Granbury, TX; sons, David Auld and his wife, Jan, of Whitesboro, TX; Richard Auld and his wife, Mary, of Ft. Worth, TX; and Timothy Auld, and his wife, Cindy, of Sherwood Shores, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Williamson, Greg Andrews, James Andrews, Gloria Buell, Rachel Mitchell, Henri Auld, Leslie Teafatiller, Danny Auld, Jessica Watrous, and Misty Likes; step-grandchildren, Cameron Hubbard, Jymi Bernard, Dillon Kirby, Bubba Crouch, Justin Crouch, Denise Thomas, and Kristi Lindholm; seven great-granddaughters, seven great-grandsons.
Preceded in death by his parents Virgil, Sr. and Pearl Auld; six brothers, Olvin Auld, Alvin Auld, L. V. Auld, Roswell Auld, Thurman Auld, and Trueman Auld and two sisters, Lorrain Latimer and Nola Brown.
