January 9, 1932 –  February 16, 2016  Dallas resident Vacilisa Garcia, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Baylor Scott and White in Plano at the age of eighty-four. She formerly lived in Gainesville and Valley View. Vacilisa was born January 9, 1932 in Luling, Texas to Magdelno and Felicitas (Martinez) Garcia. She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Deacon Gelasio Garcia, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Rea Dubrule and husband, Alfred of Dallas; son, Jesse Garcia of Wisconsin, sister, Rosa Mendez; one grandchild and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rueben Garcia.
