August 28, 1952 –  January 1, 2009  SHERMAN- Tony Edward Henry, 56, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at his residence in Sherman, Texas.
Sunday, January 4, 2009 between 2:00 PM â?? 5:00 PM, a Celebration of Tonyâ??s Life service will be held at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas.

Tony was born on August 28, 1952 in Memphis, Texas, the son of Oscar Fred and Vera Lucille Henry. He enlisted in the US Navy in October 1971 and he was discharged from the US Navy in October 1973.

He married the love of his life, Carla Sue Reece, July 15, 1977. They had 31 wonderful years together. Tony loved his wife, children, family, and friends very much; but his greatest love was his love for his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Higher Grounds Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Carla Sue; two daughters, Tammy M. Henry Cox and husband, John Cox, of Dangerfield, Texas, Stacy Sue Henry Kisselburg and husband, Tommy Lee Kisselburg, of Whitesboro, Texas; a son, Jeremy Dale Henry and wife, Kayla Montgomery Henry, of Whitesboro, Texas. His greatest joy in life was his eight grandchildren, Britney Crafts, Courtney Cox, John Cox Jr., Collin Kisselburg, Dalton Kisselburg, Blake Kisselburg, Briley Nicole Henry, and Ethan D. Henry.

Tony was also survived by two brothers, Fred Henry and wife, Frances, of Sherwood Shores, Texas, Ray Henry of Sandusky, Texas; one sister, JoAnn Rich of Sandusky, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Donna Scarborough and husband, Ronnie, of Sherman, Texas, Cathy petro and husband, Gene, of Fort Worth, Texas, Debra Reece Frost of Sherman, Texas; a brother-in-law, Gordon D. Reece of Cartwright, Oklahoma. Also, he was survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

His passions in life were the Lord, his family, and friends. Tony accepted the Lord as his Savior on August 16, 1987.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Home Hospice of Grayson County.
