August 12, 1927 –  December 19, 2016  Tommye Jeanne Proffer (89), passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville. She was born August 12, 1927 to Tom and Lillian (Morris) McChesney in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22nd at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Survivors include niece, Martha Liddell and husband, Billy of Gainesville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kent Proffer; daughter, Kenta Proffer; son, Larry Proffer and sister, Wanda Leach of Hobbs, NM.
