Tommy Goode, 72, of Gainesville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Monday, November 11, 2019.

He was born on May 6, 1947 in Whitesboro, Texas to Walter and Almeda Goode.  Tommy was a business owner of T&S Materials for 35 years; he was also a pipeline specialist and owner of Tommy Goode welding.  He was very well known in the community for his generosity and participation in local functions and charities.  Tommy enjoyed his family, his friends, and was always willing to help anyone in need, he never met a stranger.  He also enjoyed working, fishing and his 65 Ford Mustang.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sam Goode of Gainesville, son, Brent Goode and wife, Jane of Gainesville, granddaughters, Erika Goode and Amanda Goode of Gainesville, brother, Alan Goode and sister-in-law, Sandy Goode.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brad Goode, parents, Almeda Goode and Walter Goode, brother, Glenn Goode and sister-in-law, Mary Jean Goode.

Pallbearers will be, Levi Goode, Grady Goode, Darin Goode, Bradley Steed, Randy Clover and Dennis Meyers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hobbs, Alan Goode and Johnny Dowd.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Cooke County Hospice, Abigail’s Arms or United Way.

Funeral Services honoring Tommy will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev, Don Westbrook.  Interment will follow at Callisburg Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation for friends and family on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
