February 16, 1945 –  February 26, 2016  Graveside Services for Tommie Lloyd Norwood, 71, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Valley View Cemetery with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Family served as pallbearers.

Tommie passed away on February 26, 2016 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1945 in Texon, Texas to Lloyd “Pete” and Bernice Pauline (Harris) Norwood. He was a Vietnam Conflict Veteran with the U.S. Air Force, serving two tours of duty. He was an electrician and welder by trade.

Survivors include 2 sons, Robbie Gober (Chris) of Texarkana and Michael Norwood of Gainesville; 2 daughters, Deonna Simmons (Charlie) of Davis, Oklahoma and Sherry Gilbert (Chad) of Electra; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Ryan Norwood (Debra) of Valley View. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, James Gober and Tommie Pete Norwood; and a sister, Mary Beth DePriest.
