January 5, 1922 –  April 1, 2015  Funeral Services for former Gainesville resident, Thomas Garlon Taylor will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 6th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Mark Loewen officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
T. G. Taylor, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born in Wilson, Oklahoma January 5, 1922, the son of Edgar J. and Lula Margaret (Money) Taylor. Mr. Taylor served in the US Army and had worked in the tool and die department at National Supply.

Survivors include a son, Kenny Taylor of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Glenda Taylor Rodriguez of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Velita Alderman of Roanoke, Virginia; brother, Erby Taylor of Wilson, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Shelley Taylor Dickson, Shannon Taylor, Renee Lewis, Kurt Billen, and Tonya Stanley; and 12 great-grandchildren soon to be 13; 5 great-great grandchildren; and nephew, Mark Smith of Ft. Worth; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma Louise Smith Taylor; son, Thomas Gerald Taylor; granddaughter, Terri Lynn Taylor-Johnson; five sisters, and three brothers.
