April 4, 1929 – January 28, 2008 GORDONVILLE รข?? Graveside services for Thomas Eugene Reed, 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Collinsville Cemetery, Collinsville, Texas with Rev. Rusty Waller officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mr. Reed passed away on January 28, 2008 in Gordonville.
Thomas Eugene was born on April 4, 1929 in Collinsville, Texas to Kelly White and Agnes (Baker) Reed. He married Patsy Arnold on October 2, 1948. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gordonville. Thomas was a truck driver for Denton Brothers Trucking in Collinsville; he had a passion for the trucking business. Thomas loved his family and his animals.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Reed of Gordonville; sons, Ronnie Reed of Whitesboro and Mark Reed of Seagoville; a daughter, Sherry Burkhalter and husband Randy of Sherman; sister, Linda Reasor of Whitesboro; brother-in-law, Lynn Arnold of Gordonville and two grandchildren, Brad Burkhalter of Dallas and Brianna Reed of North Liberty, Iowa.
Pallbearers are: Franky L. Denton, Keith Hughes, Norman Denton, Gary Worthington, Jimmy Turpen and Joe Young.
