Thelma B. Gressett, 101, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her heavenly reward on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Thelma was born on March 14, 1922 in Wolfe City to Harper and Mary Pearl (Gaskill) Mullins.  She married Herman Gressett on August 9, 1941 in Pilot Point and they were married until his passing in 2005.  Thelma worked as a seamstress for Young Sewing Factory and Whitesboro Manufacturing.  She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga.  Thelma enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Wood of Sadler; and Pat Hedrick of Howe; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gressett of Tioga, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Harper and Pearl Mullins, husband, Herman Gressett, son, Dale Gressett, nine siblings, and son-in-laws, Kenyon Wood, and Roy Hedrick.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Grayson County Hospice or to the charity of your choice.

Funeral services honoring Thelma will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Bobby Hawkins.  Interment will follow at Tioga Cemetery.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
