December 17, 1915 –  April 28, 2013  Susie Franks, 97, of Gainesville, was called home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2013 in Sherman, Texas. Ms. Franks was born December 17, 1915 to Laura Roark Franks and Lee Franks. She was married to Mr. E.D. Lewis until his passing. Susie was a homemaker before working and retiring from the Hitchin Post Restaurant. She was a member of Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Ms. Franks enjoyed spending time with her family and telling them the story of her life. She loved to make them laugh. She will be greatly missed.

Susie Franks is survived by her daughter, Ms. Daisy Mae Jackson; Granddaughters, Caroline Gomer and Lavonne Jackson; Grandsons, Kenneth Johnson, Michael Jackson, Martin Johnson, and Billy Jackson; 16 Great-grandchildren; 23 Great-Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, two granddaughters and one great-grandson.

The family will be saying goodbye to Ms. Franks by having a Wake/Visitation 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.
