Susan Kay Patton, 78, Callisburg, Texas was called to her eternal home on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Susan was born on August 11, 1946 in Hollywood, Florida to Dale and Isla (Lowell) Manlove. She graduated from North Miami High School. On May 6, 1966 she married Terry Patton. Susan worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service as well as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager. She served many years in various churches playing the organ, singing in and directing choirs, serving meals, WMU and Operation Christmas Child. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, ceramics, painting, and music. Susan adored her family and loved the time spent with them. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Terry Patton, daughter Teresa Hayduk and her boyfriend Mark Hering, sister Bunnie Morrisseau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Isla Manlove, sisters Vera Allen and Bonnie Ammann, and son-in-law Darcy Hayduk.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, Mineola, Texas. Lunch and a time of visitation with the family will immediately follow.
The family respectfully requests that In lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Susan’s honor to Operation Christmas Child.
She is such a sweet, kind, Godly woman. Also had the most contagious laugh!! Really enjoyed vacationing in Palo Duro Canyon and family game nights. She kept me well fed with her delicious cooking! I’m sure she is enjoying heaven. She will be greatly missed!
My oldest sister Susan was a wonderful sister. She had so many great qualities about her. I have wonderful memories of growing up together that I will cherish.
Susan your with Jesus and all the family who gone before you now. We will miss you until we meet again in heaven ♥️
