June 15, 1937 –  August 8, 2017  Era resident, Sue Sutton, passed away Tuesday evening, August 8, 2017 at Muenster Memorial Hospital. She was eighty years of age. Sue was born in Forestburg, Texas, the daughter of Jace and Helen (Pilgreen) Poynor on June 15, 1937. She married Paul Travis Sutton March 18, 1956. She was a retiree of Gainesville ISD.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14th at Prairie Point Church of the Nazarene in Rosston with Rev. Ricky Kerr and Rev. Ronnie Blankenship officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville. Pallbearers are Chris Bennett, Bryce Bennett, Cote Sutton, Shawn Sutton, Bobby Long and Seth Bennett.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Paul Travis Sutton of Era; children and their spouses, Darrell and Joy Sutton of Era, Paula and Ricky Kerr of Gainesville and Karla and David Bennett of Gainesville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Jennifer Bennett of Gainesville, Bryce Bennett of Gainesville, Julie and Bobby Long of Davis, Oklahoma, Cote and Ashley Sutton of Southmayd and Shawn and Amanda Sutton of Callisburg; eight-great-grandchildren, Courtney Hunter and husband, Blake, Taylor Bennett, Seth Bennett, Jacob Bennett, Reagan Sutton, Luke Sutton, Lane Sutton and Aspen Sutton; two great-great-grandchildren, Greyson and Madilyn Hunter; brother-in-law, Ott Kuykendall of Gainesville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jace and Helen Poynor; twin sister, Betty Poynor; sisters, Brenda Sutton and June Kuykendall and great-granddaughter, Brinley Sutton. http://videos.lifetributes.com/824739
